Meet Your Translation Need with Official Notarized Translation

By Sabrina Eskelson inTranslations

When you need some official documents translated, you will have to seek a professional translation service that can provide an official notarized translation. That way, you can be sure that those documents will be acknowledged and considered valid in the country where you plan to use them.

A notarized translation is done by an experienced and qualified notary public, an individual authorized by the government to manage and authenticate legal formalities, like foreign diplomas, school transcripts, and other education-based documents. Reputable translators may also work with a notary public to have them swear an oath to the accuracy of their work and sign an affidavit, which is considered valid only after acquiring the sign and seal of the notary public.

Understanding the notarized translation

Notarized translations are more concerned with following official procedures rather than quality control. A translator does not require certification, and the notary won’t assess the work’s quality but will verify the identity of the translator. Should you need any official translated document notarized, it may be best to find notarized translation services instead of seeking separate service providers. That way, should there be a need to have a translated document certified; they can also do it for you.

A certified translation is different from an official notarized translation. Certified translation pertains to the language service provider or translator issuing a signed statement to declare that the translation they did is accurate and the true representation of the original version. Thus, it is necessary for legal documents, such as birth, marriage, or death certificates, supporting documents for immigration, adoption agreements, business contracts, and service agreements.

Hire the right translator

Be sure to get notarized translation services from an experienced service provider that translates official documents in all major languages. Make sure they are members of the American Translators Association and the European Language Industry Association, and that they are known to maintain confidentiality and security all around.
